Test results revealed that Iv was more suitable for depicting the compression behavior of pure clays than IvH; whereas, for the compressibility of sand–clay mixtures, the normalized compression line by using Iv was obviously different from that of pure clays and traditional soils due to the presence of sand particles. Therefore, a four-phase analysis framework of sand–clay mixtures was introduced to unify the intrinsic compression behavior of soils with and without sands. It was found that the updated clay void index Ivc parameter was effective to unify the soil’s compression behavior by excluding the influence of sand particles in clays before the sand skeleton formation. After the formation of the sand skeleton, the cluster particles change the stress distribution of mixtures, leading to less stress being applied on the clay matrix and thus the bifurcation of the intrinsic compression behavior.]]> Sat 24 Mar 2018 08:43:42 AEDT ]]> Experimental investigation of compaction-grouted soil nails https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:31215 Sat 24 Mar 2018 08:43:17 AEDT ]]> Time- and density-dependent microstructure features of compacted bentonite https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:18804 Sat 24 Mar 2018 07:51:07 AEDT ]]> Experimental investigation of pressure grouting in sand https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:26083 Sat 24 Mar 2018 07:31:31 AEDT ]]> Highly compact and uniform CH₃NH₃Sn₀.₅Pb₀.₅I₃ films for efficient panchromatic planar perovskite solar cells https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:30209 Sat 24 Mar 2018 07:31:04 AEDT ]]> Experimental study on an ideal compaction grouting into sand https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:28218 Sat 24 Mar 2018 07:28:29 AEDT ]]> Low-temperature processed solar cells with formamidinium tin halide perovskite/fullerene heterojunctions https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:26904 Sat 24 Mar 2018 07:23:35 AEDT ]]> Infiltration of Pb(II) solution in compacted bentonite/sand mixture under unconfined conditions https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:22701 Sat 24 Mar 2018 07:15:25 AEDT ]]> Swelling pressure and hydraulic conductivity of compacted GMZ01 bentonite under salinization-desalinization cycle conditions https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:22741 Sat 24 Mar 2018 07:12:23 AEDT ]]> Experimental study on water evaporation from compacted clay using environmental chamber https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:24559 Sat 24 Mar 2018 07:11:31 AEDT ]]> Interpretation of grouting characteristics in unsaturated sand from the perspective of water–air interface https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:45800 Mon 07 Nov 2022 09:51:11 AEDT ]]> Use of photo-based 3D photogrammetry in analysing the results of laboratory pressure grouting tests https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:42222 Fri 19 Aug 2022 11:28:23 AEST ]]> The Study of the Compaction Grouted Soil Nail with Multiple Grout Bulks Using Finite Element Method https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:41798 Fri 12 Aug 2022 12:24:19 AEST ]]>
